The new chargers are now available on the Chargefox app.

Woolworths in North Parramatta, New South Wales, has introduced eight new Electric Vehicle (EV) charging plugs as part of the launch of its fully refurbished shopping experience.

Installed by JET Charge and including four DC Kempower plugs and four AC Chargemate plugs these charging stations are now available on the Chargefox platform and offer a seamless and efficient charging experience.

The dual technology approach offers flexibility to customers and ensures that Woolworths caters to the diverse needs of the growing electric vehicle community in Western Sydney.

In response to the launch of the chargers, Chargefox CEO John Sullivan stated, "We are excited that Woolworths, one of Australia’s biggest retailers, has taken this step to provide such a comprehensive charging experience for their shoppers and the broader public.”

Local residents and businesses in the area have expressed their appreciation for Woolworths' forward-thinking approach.

The addition of these charging stations to the Chargefox platform contributes to the growing availability of charging stations across Australia, addressing concerns related to "range anxiety" and supporting the widespread adoption of electric vehicles.

As electric vehicles continue to gain market share in Australia, Woolworths' implementation of plugs at the North Parramatta location represents a significant step towards a cleaner, more sustainable future for the community and the environment.

Head of Business Development at Chargefox Nick Franco said "This new charging infrastructure demonstrates Woolies' dedication to customer convenience and value, as well as their real commitment to sustainability. We're looking forward to unveiling some more great work together in the near future".

The combination of AC (pictured) and DC chargers provide options and flexibility for EV drivers.
