EV drivers in Melbourne now have even more convenient charging options, with CitiPower and Powercor’s new kerbside EV chargers now live on the Chargefox platform.

By integrating these chargers into Chargefox, drivers can now locate, start and pay for charging sessions using the Chargefox app or RFID card, alongside thousands of other chargers across Australia.

The addition of CitiPower and Powercor chargers is another important step towards making EV charging accessible for all Australians and helping remove one of the biggest barriers to EV ownership for residents in urban areas.

Bringing charging closer to home

As Victoria's EV adoption continues to grow, kerbside charging is becoming an increasingly important part of the public charging mix.

These chargers are mounted directly onto existing power poles, providing a practical and lower-impact way to expand charging access in established suburbs. The chargers are particularly valuable for apartment residents, renters and households without private driveways.

The sites feature 22kW AC charging and are designed for convenient neighbourhood charging while drivers are at home, visiting local businesses or spending time in the community. The rollout includes more than 20 charging locations across Melbourne's inner north and inner east, with most sites offering one or two charging ports.

More chargers. One platform.

The integration reinforces Chargefox's mission to unite charging networks and make EV charging simple, affordable and accessible through a single platform.

By adding CitiPower and Powercor's kerbside chargers to theplatform, drivers gain access to another convenient charging option without needing to download multiple apps or create additional accounts.

Supporting Victoria's transition to electric vehicles

By making these chargers available through Chargefox,CitiPower and Powercor are helping ensure more drivers can confidently choose an EV regardless of their living arrangements.

The chargers are available now and can be found in the Chargefox app by searching nearby charging locations or exploring the map.
