In case you missed it, Porsche have just launched their Taycan 4S, Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S Electric Vehicles in Australia.

We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Porsche Cars Australia to provide three years’ free, unlimited charging across all Chargefox ultra-rapid charging stations and participating fast charging stations Australia-wide.*

Marty Andrews, Chargefox CEO, said this partnership will drive greater EV adoption in Australia and provide EV drivers with more choice.

“It’s fantastic to see leading car manufacturers bringing new EV models to the Australian market. Our goal has always been to reduce road transport emissions by creating the infrastructure required to help Australia move towards a greener future with more EV’s on the road. We’re thrilled to be partnering with Porsche to offer free charging for drivers of their Taycan models across all Chargefox ultra-rapid charging stations and participating fast charging stations around Australia, and we know that this relationship will help reduce the barriers to EV uptake. ”

Using the Chargefox network is easy for Taycan owners. After registering their vehicle details in the Chargefox app, Taycan owners will have visibility of all of the free charging available to them when using the Chargefox network.

This partnership means Chargefox now provides discounted or free charging sessions to drivers of selected Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover and Porsche models. These partnerships make purchasing and owning an EV in Australia more affordable.

Editor’s Notes

Chargefox is the biggest and fastest growing open charging network in Australia for modern EVs. It has been operating charging stations across Australia and New Zealand for 2 years and has managed more than 105,000 charging sessions for drivers via it’s iPhone and Android mobile apps.

The ultra-rapid charging network is an investment by the Australian Motoring Services (RACV, NRMA, RACQ, RAC, RAA and RACT), Wilson Transformers and the founder of Carsales, Greg Roebuck. It is supported with grants from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) and the Victorian Government.

Chargefox’s multiple partnerships with car manufacturers mean that Australians can confidently purchase an EV backed by the Chargefox network.

The freely-available Chargefox app also helps users easily find, use and pay for charging across hundreds of stations in Australia and New Zealand.

Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) – Chargefox received funding from ARENA as part of ARENA’s Advancing Renewables Program. The views expressed herein are not necessarily the views of the Australian Government, and the Australian Government does not accept responsibility for any information or advice contained herein.

Technical Details

Taycan drivers will have access to a three year subscription offering them free, unlimited charging across all Chargefox owned ultra-rapid charging stations (up to 350kW) and participating Chargefox-managed fast charging stations (mostly 50kW). Access to this subscription is available via download of the Chargefox app.
