Chargefox powers Australian-first fuel-to-EV experience for mixed fleets
As Australian fleets accelerate the shift to electric vehicles, managing multiple systems for fuel and charging has remained a key barrier to adoption.
Chargefox is helping remove that friction, with its national electric vehicle (EV) charging network now available directly within the WEX Motorpass® app. The integration marks an Australian first, making WEX Motorpass the only multi-brand fuel card to offer a digital payment experience for EV charging.
The collaboration brings together the scale of Chargefox — Australia’s largest and fastest growing public EV charging network — with WEX’s more than 40 years of fleet and payments expertise. WEX® is a leader in intelligence-led payment and workflow solutions, supporting businesses as fleets evolve towards mixed energy.

One platform for mixed-energy fleets
For fleet organisations operating petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles, the transition to EVs can introduce operational complexity. By enabling Chargefox charging locations within the same app drivers already use for fuel payments, WEX Motorpass customers gain a single, familiar environment for locating and using public EV chargers.
Drivers can locate Chargefox-connected charging stations directly through the WEX Motorpass app, while fleet managers benefit fromgreater visibility and control across all vehicle drive trains.
The integration provides WEX Motorpass customers with access to thousands of charging plugs across Australia — spanning metropolitan areas, key interstate corridors and critical regional and remote locations.
Improved visibility and control for fleet managers
For fleet managers trialling or scaling EVs, the unified approach helps simplify onboarding, reduce training requirements and lower day-to-day operational friction.
Bringing fuel and charging into a single platform alsoprovides clearer oversight, stronger policy controls and more consistentreporting across mixed-energy fleets.

“As fleets transition to EVs, reducing complexity makes areal difference,” said Islam Hassan, Chief Customer Officer at Australian Motoring Services.
“By integrating charging into the WEX Motorpass app, we’re giving mixed fleets one familiar platform across all vehicles. It streamlines reporting and compliance for managers, and keeps things simple for drivers, with no extra apps and no new processes.”
Supporting the next phase of fleet electrification
The partnership supports businesses navigating the real-world transition to electric mobility — where fleets often operate a combination of drivetrains for years to come.
“Electric vehicles are key to the energy transition in Australia. As business transport models, from corporate cars to trucks, embrace mixed fleets,
...providing simplified access to charging infrastructure nationwide is essential to supporting businesses through the transition with confidence.” said Matt Arthur, General Manager and Vice President of APAC Mobility at WEX.
With Australia’s most extensive public charging networks now embedded within a trusted fleet payments platform, Chargefox continues to play a central role in supporting fleet electrification — making it easier for businesses to adopt, scale and manage EVs as part of everyday operations.
