Chargefox has partnered with EVX to bring hundreds more kerbside EV chargers to its national platform, boosting access for drivers without off-street parking and expanding Australia’s most comprehensive EV charging network.

EVX chargers are currently situated at various locations in New South Wales, including Wollongong and Sydney, as well as Ballina and Byron Bay. There are also 2 locations in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

This announcement comes shortly after the addition to Chargefox of AGL kerbside charging sites, further demonstrating the commitment and collaboration of the EV charging sector to those without an at-home charging option.

The integration of EVX's pole-mounted kerbside chargers into the Chargefox platform delivers accessible, everyday charging in some of the areas it is needed most. Kerbside charging isa key piece of the puzzle in providing universal access to EV charging, particularly for apartment dwellers, renters, and those without access to a home charger.

"We are incredibly excited to welcome EVX to the Chargefox platform," said Rebecca Stenhouse, CEO of Australian Motoring Services (AMS) who operate Chargefox. "Kerbside charging is a key part of our mission to make EV charging more convenient for drivers across Australia — delivering a single, secure and seamless experience, whenever and wherever they need it"

The partnership means EVX's kerbside charging sites are now accessible to all Australian EV drivers through the Chargefox app and RFID cards.

Chargefox users including private drivers, fleet customers, and subscription holders will be able to effortlessly locate, charge, and pay for charging sessions at these EVX locations, seamlessly integrating this essential kerbside infrastructure with Australia's leading EV charging platform.

"We are all excited to welcome Chargefox customers to access EVX kerbside chargers as we continue to grow our network" says Andrew Forster, CEO, EVX. “Recent announcements of roaming partnerships across the sector demonstrates charge point operators ongoing commitment to customer experience and universal access".

This agreement is another key step to ending app fatigue, where drivers must manage multiple apps and accounts for different public charging networks.

For EVX, joining the Chargefox network means exposing their chargers to a vast network of EV drivers. This increased exposure is expected to drive higher charger utilisation encouraging further investment in new charging infrastructure.

The addition of EVX chargers further expands the diversity of charging options available on Chargefox, the platform that offers more EV chargers across Australia than any other.

120 EVX locations, featuring 240 plugs are available on the Chargefox app now, with a further 28 locations in Sydney to be added soon.
