Nillumbik Shire Electric Vehicle Expo

On Sunday, I went down to Edendale Community Environment Farm in Eltham to help out at the Nillumbik Shire Electric Vehicle Expo.

The amazing volunteers at Clean Energy Nillumbik put on this fantastic free event open to the public to help them learn about what it’s like to own an EV, dispel some myths and answer questions.
There was a huge variety of vehicles on display, most of which were brought along by private vehicle owners keen to show off their cars and chat with visitors keen to get behind the wheel of their first EV.
Volunteers from the Australian Electric Vehicle Association (AEVA) are a seemingly permanent fixture at big and small EV events around Australia. Sunday was no different, with a big team of enthusiasts ready to help people better understand the EV driving, charging and ownership experience.
These community volunteer lead events have been a big driver of EV adoption in Australia and are a fantastic resource for those looking to learn more about Electric Vehicles and meet like-minded people.
Reach out to your local council or community energy group to find out about similar events near you.
