The City of Greater Geelong Council has an ambition to become aleader in the field of sustainable transportation. Encouraging theadoption of electric vehicles in the area is a vital part of this plan.

The City of Greater Geelong now hosts 10 charging stations on the Chargefox platform.

The first public chargers were installed on the Geelong Waterfront in 2018, and several more have been added to the network since. The City understood that despite it being a relatively new concept at the time, tourism required this
infrastructure and largely informed early decisions on site selection. These chargers remain some of the most heavily utilised in the region. The delivery of this publicly accessible infrastructure sought to address range anxiety, which was
certainly a bigger barrier at the time, and boost confidence in the regional network of EV chargers.

No. Chargefox provides the software and services for organisations to manage and monitor their chargers and the app for drivers to find, use and pay for charging.

If you are interested in installing chargers please contact us and we will refer you to our trusted hardware installers in your area. We work closely with these installers throughout the process to get your chargers added to Australia’s largest EV charging network.
