We’re committed to sustainable mobility. Our network of EV chargers will help Australians move around the country without the need for long charging stops.
With thousands of plugs, the Chargefox network includes standard AC (22kW), fast (50kW) and ultra-rapid chargers (350kW), capable of delivering up to 400kms of range in 15 minutes. All our ultra-rapid chargers are powered by 100% renewable energy.

How long does it take to charge your EV? Let’s talk facts.
Our ultra-rapid charging stations are open to all modern EVs and can deliver up to 400kms of charge in 15 mins, or 200kms in 8 mins. These chargers are capable of power output of at least 150kW and up to 475kW, are the fastest of any charger currently available in Australia.
Having said that, you’ll find chargers of all sizes and speeds on our network. The app will show you available chargers speeds at any location.

We work with leading energy retailers to manage electricity demand across Australia. Demand management is all about helping to ensure there’s enough energy to go around during periods of high demand – for example, when extreme weather hits.
Charging FAQs
How much will it cost to charge my car?
Pricing will vary depending on the model of your car and on the station. Some are free at all times, some charge a per kWh rate. You can see the individual cost of a station when you view each individual location’s details from the map.
How long will it take to charge my car?
Ah, the age old question. The ultra-rapid chargers are capable of adding 400km of range to a modern EV in 15 minutes. Actual charge times vary depending on your car model and the current charge state of your battery.
Charging up to 400km in 15 minutes? Is that possible?
Yes, absolutely! New EVs are supporting higher and higher charging speeds, and there are cars available in Australia that are capable of charging this quickly.
What is security like while my car’s charging?
Firstly, the charger locks while charging, so nobody can disconnect it from your car. Secondly, our sites are always well lit, and are next to cafés and facilities with long opening times (24/7 where possible). We aim to make all our locations safe for families to stop and charge their car, even at night. All sites will also soon have CCTV cameras installed for added security.
What plug types are supported?
All modern electric vehicles with CCS2 or CHAdeMO plugs can charge at our sites. Tesla drivers can use a CHAdeMO adapter to charge their vehicles.
What renewable energy will the sites use?
All our ultra-rapid sites are backed by 100% green power. In many cases we also add solar and batteries on site to facilitate charging via solar energy.
