We are pleased to announce that Australian Motoring Services (AMS) has recently acquired Australia’s largest EV charging network, Chargefox.
By 2025, there will be 5,000 EV charging plugs on our network and 2,000 of them will deliver fast and/or ultra-rapid charging speeds.
The goal of Phase 1 of the build was to create the backbone of the largest EV charging network in the country, and with the addition of our latest ultra-rapid site in Cooma, NSW, we’ve achieved exactly that.
We're doubling the ultra-rapid charging options for Western Australians with the launch of our second site in the state, this time in West Perth.
We've opened our 20th ultra-rapid charging station in Port Macquarie, NSW. EV drivers are now able to travel from Sydney to the coastal regions of Northern NSW without any long charging stops.
We've opened our 19th ultra-rapid charging station, this time in Cooma, NSW. The location in Cooma opens up tourist areas south of Canberra, including the Jindabyne snowfields region and popular coastal towns, like Eden.
Range anxiety, or the fear of running out of charge, has traditionally been seen as a barrier to EV uptake with questions about the feasibility of a trip from Melbourne to Sydney common amongst prospective EV buyers. Now, thanks to the Chargefox network, interstate road trips have been made even simpler for EV drivers.
Chargefox, Australia’s fastest growing electric vehicle network has reached a new milestone this week announcing the opening of its first ultra-rapid charging station in Western Australia (our eighteenth nationally).
Our latest ultra-rapid station has just opened in Horsham, which means EV drivers in both Victoria and South Australia can now travel between the states without any long charging stops (subject to local travel restrictions). Chargefox Horsham is our seventh ultra-rapid station to open in Victoria, and connects with our recently opened Murray Bridge and Keith stations in South Australia to allow easy travel between the two cities.
Chargefox has opened it's 15th ultra-rapid charging station, this time in Murray Bridge, SA. These chargers are capable of delivering up to 400km of range in 15 minutes, powered by 100% renewable energy.
